Fishing Tournament
for the Physically & Mentally Challenged - "The Friendliest Catch" Sarasota Outboard Club,
1604 Ken Thompson Pkwy City Island, Sarasota This is the event that expresses what the Festival is all about. Volunteers welcome challenged individuals aboard their boats for a morning of fun on the water. All participants “catch and release” and learn how to gently handle the fish during the 90-minute tournament. Awards presentation and luncheon follows. |

After the parade stroll down Main Street (between Orange Avenue and Gulf Stream Avenue) and see race boats on display and enjoy an old fashioned block party full of music, great food, and vendors on Lemon Avenue. |

Driver's Seat" Brunch Hyatt Regency Sarasota Ballroom 10:30 am until Noon - $10 per person $10 per person (children 10 and under free). Enjoy meeting participating race teams and Captain Keith Colburn & Crew off the F/V Wizard featured on Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch television series. All guests can ask for autographs, take photos, and will receive souvenir "take home" items. Don't miss this one! Food and beverages will be available for purchase. |

This will be an escorted ride led by members of our armed forces and some “special guests” in town during the Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Festival. |

Annual Suncoast Offshore
Grand Prix Boat Race - Lido Beach 2 Heats 11AM & 1PM Feel the
excitement and watch powerboats compete offshore right before your
eyes. This year’s race course is approx. 6.5 miles from New Pass to
Big Pass. Sarasota has become one of the longest continuously running
offshore race sites in the country and this year’s race will showcase
some of the best offshore powerboat racing in the world. Best viewing area is from
Lido Beach
only. |
